Shipping & Returns

Shipping Policy

Shipping is to addresses within the Republic of South Africa only. Shipping is charged at a rate of R150 to metropolitain areas within the Republic of South Africa & at a rate of R250 for outlying areas.

Deliveries are made Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

In general, your order will be delivered within two to five working days, after dispatch. 

​

You or your authorised representative will be asked to sign the delivery note to confirm receipt. For verification purposes, the person accepting delivery at the delivery address may be required to produce a form of identification. Any person other than yourself who receives the products at the delivery address is presumed to be authorised to accept delivery on your behalf.

Should no-one attend the time of delivery, the driver will keep the products and leave a notice. The driver will try to contact you to make new arrangements for delivery or collection. We reserve the right to charge an additional delivery fee should it be required. Our liability for any delay in delivery is limited to re-delivery at a later agreed time at no additional charge.

We have outsourced all delivery and collection arrangements to third party service providers. Accordingly, we cannot, to the extent permitted by law, be liable for any loss or damage caused by them.

Return & Exchange Policy

RETURNS

Every attempt is made to ensure that your item is delivered in perfect condition. Please inspect your item upon delivery. Should you discover an issue with your item upon delivery please notify us in writing within 24hrs as well as attaching an image and description of the the issue.

 

Upon receipt of the details we will investigate the matter. Should it be found that the items were sent to you in the condition shown upon receipt or such damage occurred in transit, 'BCP' will replace the items that you have ordered. If the items are not reported as damaged / defective within 24 hours of receiving them, we will not be able to exchange your order.


You will be required to return the damaged items to us, upon which a new order will be sent to you. You will not be permitted to keep the damaged items.

Should BCP agree to replace the item, collection and delivery will be for our account. BCP shall only conduct exchanges within 90 days if there is a material defect in the product.  BCP will not exchange items with damage resulting from normal wear and tear.  The courier costs on all items returned after 90 days will be borne by the purchaser at a maximum of R150 per return delivery.

All of our pieces are custom and "made to order" and as such these items are non-refundable/ non-exchangeable. Should you wish to alter the colour of the cord or change the type of closure used on the item, these will be for purchasers expense as well as the cost or return and redelivery. The amounts for these changes will be quoted and must be paid in full before BCP will accept to make these changes.

Cancellation of an order can only be made within 48hrs of a payment being made for an item. Should the order for the item be cancelled from 48hrs until dispatch a deduction for the cost of materials and labour will be made and the balance shall be refunded to the purchasers account within 7 working days.

To return an item/s please contact us by sending an email to order@brickpieces.co.za stating your full name & order number.

DAMAGE

​

If your piece breaks within 6 months of purchase due to a manufacturing fault, we’re happy to repair it for free including courier fees. After 6 months, the cost for repair will depend on the nature of the repair requires and the courier fees will be for your account.

ORDERING ERRORS

​

Should you order a piece and it is the incorrect size / length or with spelling errors in the personalisation it will incur a resizing / remake fee including the relevant courier charges for the return and re-delivery of the item.

It is important to ensure that you check all the details of your order regarding size, colour, material, and personalisation of the item. If you order the incorrect size, we cannot be held liable. For ring sizing we recommend visiting your closest jewellery shop to to get your correct size and fit. You can also make use of our measurement guidance located under the "Sizing” tab at the bottom of the page. These are for guidance purposes only, you are required to use your own discretion. BCP does not guarantee any of the sizing personally done by customers.

If you made an error on your order’s personalisation or sizing and only realise it once your order has been delivered, feel free to get in touch with us as soon as you receive it. We can quote you for a remake or resize which is at a reduced fee in order to accommodate the changes. In this instance you will return the incorrect item to us and you are liable for all the courier fees associated with the return and re-delivery.
